Merry Christmas!

I know this might be a little early, but I'm going to be swamped with work over the next few weeks, so I used what little time I had today to do this Seasonal Sketch for all you fine folks out there!!
So here's to all of you! Have a fantastic Christmas and I hope that we all remember the reason why we celebrate! May the New Year be an amazing one for all of us! Full of positivity and success! Happy 2011 everyone!

I did this little sketch the other day after being extremely inspired by picking up Mignola's latest book, The Amazing Screw on Head and other Curious Objects. ...Fantastic book, I HIGHLY recommend it!

I've been so busy lately, I've often had this nagging feeling that I have been neglecting all of you with images of AO! So here are a couple of quick sketches of the old rust bucket!

In other news - If any of you out there in bloggerland wanted to attend NY Comic Con, but didn't get a table, here's yer chance! The Anthology Project had purchased a table, but sadly we will not be able to attend. SO... if ANYONE out there wants a table or knows someone who would want one, please contact - mail@theanthologyproject *dot* com - and let us know!
Here's the details:
$900 (USD) , The dimensions of the booth are 6'X8' and it's in the Small Press section. At this point NY Comic Con has not determined a layout.
ALSO, we are ok with the idea of splitting the cost between multiple people, that way it's cheaper for more than one individual to purchase a table. You would just have to split up table time!

So the 2010 Vancouver Olympics started today and whenever I hear about or talk about Vancouver, I always think of it's full of lush green environments. So, with that thought in mind I decided to do a little sketch of Agent Green in the Green.

Agent Orange travels around the world quite often, and there are a lot of beautiful places to see. On the flip side though, a lot of those beautiful places also have a darker side! For example, Orange loves the open air of Norway, but it gets a lot less 'fresh' during the winter solstice under a full moon. That's when the shadow wolves come out.

oh... and a non-Orange related ninja turtle sketch!

Just a little sketchbook doodle of AO trying to find some clues. I think someone threw a monkey wrench in that engine!

Hello 2010

Greetings my friends!
I hope you all had a fantastic new years celebration! I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for all your great support, comments, suggestions, and inspiration! I have a lot of great things planned for this year. I'm super excited, so keep your eyes and ears open!
Let's all work together as a community of creators to make 2010 an amazingly creative, inspiring and uplifting year!!! Be a little kinder, be a little stronger, be a little more willing to step into areas we may not have ventured before, and be a little more open to those little whisperings that urge us to be a little better.

Lot of stuff going on right now... just trying to keep my head above water! Don't get me wrong though, things are great! We just put up our Christmas tree this weekend so the daughter is super happy... which means I'm super happy!
And with that happiness, here's a sketch of Orange and a spooky garden shed.

So the rainy days of November are pretty much over, as now the bitter winds kick in, frost appears in the morning, and snow begins to fall! The spirit of Christmas is already in the air!! And in that wonderfully uplifting spirit, I sketched Agent Orange... fighting... a giant, worm slug thingy?!
I need more sleep.

I think this is the spookiest sketch I've ever done! The winner of the Rex Bunyan Halloween costume contest will win this sketch as well!!... I think I'll actually colour it too.

Halloween is tomorrow, and it will be the end of Octoberbots! But I had a lot of fun this month doing these and I appreciate all the great comments and feedback. I'd like to try and keep this momentum going through into the next month with a different topic. I think I have one already.
In other news, over on The Life of Rex Bunyan I have a Halloween contest type thingy going on. I've encouraged everyone to comment or message me on Rex on Facebook and suggest a costume for Rex to wear. The chosen idea will have the drawing + an additional sketch sent to them in the mail. You have until tonight to toss me your suggestions!!

It's rare that Agent Orange has a normal, quiet day to relax... especially during the month of Octoberbots.

Agent Orange is of course a great chef... being a robot and all. The only thing is, that your meal always ends up tasting like metal somehow.

Agent Orange Sketch dump time!
Some random doodles from my sketch book of our old pal Orange. You'll also notice I through in some sketches of Jeremy Bomb (who seems to be a crowd favorite). A while back I'd said that I found JB a home... and that home will actually be within the Agent Orange world. I've actually plotted out ALL of the issues/stories and I'm planning on having JB show up about half way through the AO story arch. So keep your eye out for him in the near future. Lots of fun things in store!!

These are all from my sketchbook while riding the train to or from work. I'd really like to colour a couple of them, but we'll see if I have time. The one with Orange in the construction vehicle fighting the dino was strictly for the little boy in all of us. (Yes, even the little boy in you girls out there!)

Just a little personal banner that I did for the upcoming POPGUN Volume 4. I've been informed that it should be out some time around December. A little later that I had thought, but I suppose there is a lot that goes into putting together such a collaborative books such as this.
These last images were coloured by my 2 year old daughter. She wanted to do some colouring, so I decided to introduce her to the digital world. I helped her draw the faces. ...There always has to be a happy and a sad face ...and they always need hair.

And lastly... The cinematic opening animation from the new Beatles Rock Band game is amazing! Great inspiring work yet again from our friends at Passion Pictures.
