Where The Wild Things Are

I just recently had the honor of contributing to an AMAZING project entitled -
Terrible Yellow Eyes.
Keep an eye on this one folks! Put together by Cory Godbey, Terrible Yellow Eyes is a tribute to the talented Maurice Sendak and his creation, Where the Wild Things Are. With an ever growing cast of uber awesome artists, this project has big plans in the works!! I'll keep you posted on it for sure, but do take some time to check it out and stay up to date on it.

UPDATE - New GOBELINS Annecy films are up.

  12. I saw this on Terrible Yellow Eyes, thanks for the head sup, but I've been drooling over all the art on that site for a while, though! In fact I think that was the reason I knew about Sendak's birthday.

I work at a bookstore and I kept telling all the employees and customers that it was his birthday, and most people didn't know who he was, and almost no one cared. It was kinda sad.

  32. I just wanted to thank you for the kudos on my Where the Wild Things Are entries. I really appreciate it. I love your entry as well as it showcases the inherent playfulness of the characters.
I especially like your quote about how the book resonated with you as a child and still does for you now. I think that's what is so inspiring about a project like "Terrible Yellow Eyes". We all share some common affinity for something so elemental in our collective childhood, a freedom to just be without social mores or shame entering the picture. And in many ways, if we stay true to that notion, we find that that feeling, that aspiration shapes what we are now.

Thanks again for the kind words and do stay in touch!
