Hey all! Here are some of the designs that I did for the 'Lights Animated music video'. The first couple of sketches I did while riding the train. They had simple ideas of her just flying around and landing on the planet, but I wanted to make it a little more exciting than that.
You'll also notice the "fashion" design page... which is only one of MANY! It started off kind of 'retro' feeling, as that was the way the director wanted to take it at first. Eventually the 'man' had it morphed into what it is now in the video, but not without me trying to push for a really cool sleek style, which is the last design you see here.... of course, it was just too cool for them.

    I thought the video was pretty dope, I liked how the animation worked well with the live action bits...but if anything, I liked the color scheme of the whole thing. Sweet stuff man!!

    Great ideas! I love the animation thumbnail of her launching off the meteor and the fashion sketch on the bottom right with the helmet on.

    Awe, it's too bad about the retro minimalizing. Retro's the way to go... especially when dealing with sci-fi.
