Much thanks to everyone for all the great comments all the time. You guys rock!!
These sketches are from an upcoming music video by one of my best friends, Meaghan Smith. This will be her second album, the first was more of an indipendent thing, but she was picked up by Warner and this second album is bound to make some noise for her. ...music videos and all.
DJ Kid Koala even adds a little somethin on the album. So cool!!
There's even talk of merchandise which I would love to also help out in. I'll keep you posted on the progress, and make sure you buy the album when it comes out and watch for the video...both come out sometime in September!!

ReplyDeleteSLAMBO - Hey dude, thanks! Super to hear from you...Rawls misses you! Yea its really a great step for her career! I'm just glad I get to lend a hand.
Chris - Details? Well, simply put, my friend Meaghan Smith has a new album, and I'm animating some elements for her first music video. I'll make sure to post the animation once its all done. I'm glad you think I'm verstile. I'm actually trying to be moreso these days. I think its vital to have your own style, but equally vital to be able to adapt.
great drawings, is that marker or watercolor? The color seem to blend nicely. I'll look forward to seeing some animation.
ReplyDeleteHey thanks for your comment! These sketches are very good and your blog is cool too :)
ReplyDeletewhoa! You're doing a video in connection with Warner? Don't they own, like, half the planet's media or something?
ReplyDeleteWay to go! And nice sketches. Did you go to a park, or find 'em on the Discovery Channel?
Vince - Thanks man! These are actually all marker. I use prismacolor as they tend to act a little more like watercolours and let out just the right amount of ink.
ReplyDeleteChhuy-ing - Thanks my friend. Great work on the WaterWorlds book!!
Jed - Hey Jed! Yea, funnily enough, in the release form I have to sign, it actually says in one part, that they, "OWN THE RIGHTS THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE" !! Just in case those martians want to use my animation!!!
I've been doing a lot of bird watching just to get their manerisms and movement, and of course our good friend google helped with some visuals.
