Hooray!! New post! I really dislike those long stints in between posts... but hey, a busy mans gotta do what a bla bla bla. So this is one character among many that I have running around in that space between my ears. I'm not too sure what to do with him, or what kind of environment and story to place him in..... perhaps you have a good idea?
His thin hips and skull bomb make him feel rugged. Nice!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of this guy. If you are serious about trying to do something with him, I'd be happy to pitch something to you. Hit me back on my blog if your interested.
ReplyDeletePeace,
Joe
Slamb - Yo, thanks buddy!!
ReplyDeleteJoe - Thanks man! For sure, I'm always up for ideas and creativity outside this tiny little box that I live in!
Slick! He seems like such a nice guy. The bombs add an awesome little punch to his personality. Like he is mostly a nice guy with a little bit of a dark side. kind of like weighting a composition asymmetrically....does that make sense? Sweet stuff man.

Haha...yea thats cool...I like that. Super nice guy who blows stuff up! Good contrast. Thanks Adam, your the man!!
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing lots of potential with this guy. Love the sketch quality too.

ReplyDeleteI imagine him helping a girl to lower her cat from a tree ... based burst around the park to bombings

ReplyDeleteHe's the "A" typical nice guy wife three kids and a looming mortgage. He's just been laid off unexpectedly from his job. Answering a local ad in the paper for a company called "Design X", thinking its a design related position. Unknowingly he gets sucked into the world of spies, mercenaries, assassins, and espionage. He tells himself its only temporary because it pays well, but secretly he is starting to love it.
ReplyDeletei am thinking he is everything but normal. jeremy bomb grew up just south of paris, france and was often teased and ridiculed by the other children for his large frame and english name. one half pepe-le-pew (horrible with the ladies) and one part terminator, jeremy is now a highly trained assassin who specializes in explosives with his easily recognized insignia (the skull bomb). a desert chef by day and killer by night, he is one tough motha.
ReplyDeletecheers buddy! great stuff as always.
i'm lovin' gemini's suggested back story.
very stylish, amazing!

Hey, that's a very cool style. Would like to see a story exact like this ...
ReplyDeleteI'm full of story ideas actually to much. Funny I have a notebook full of story ideas and notes. It fun to flip through to something i wrote two years ago and sometimes its painful, like oh did really write this thing. Yet I digress.
ReplyDelete----------------
Keep running with this project Darren. I'd love to see it developed into a two minute action adventure short.
Peter - Oh, don't worry my friend... I really like that idea.
ReplyDeleteJoern - Thanks man...you will!!
Chris - haha..sound like me when I look through old sketchbooks! I definitely could see this turning into a little comic or animated short.
hah, nice one dude! He'd fit in well with the Team Fortress crew!
ReplyDeleteLove the character. I want to see the rest of his universe.. his girlfriend ( if he has one), his mom and dad, older or younger brothers or sister, where does he live, and, does he really do "bombs" for a living or is he a walmart employee dreaming of being a bomber man?
ReplyDeleteYou know.. that kind of stuff
Hey Pascal! Good to hear from you my friend! And thanks for the great suggestions...I'm gonna try and compile yours and all the other suggestions so far into a few ideas and sketches sometime this week.
ReplyDeleteHaha...that's the real bomber-man!!
