I meant to post this guy the other day, but just didn't get around to it. So I'll most likely have a double posting sometime this week to catch up!! Does anyone know what creatures like this are called? My wife and I were thinking a 'fawn' but we're not too sure.
Yes, I believe it's a fawn. Like Mr. Tumnus from Narnia.
ReplyDeleteReally fun series so far.
Satir. But I'm not sure on the spelling. Good one!
ReplyDeleteNice image! I love characters like Thor who marry the mythological with the super. Afterall, supers are the modern-dayt mythology.
ReplyDeleteps. They're also called Satyrs.
oh, man.
ReplyDeleteIt's a satyr and that means a lot of dirty jokes where the ring is concerned.
Of course, to get slightly serious about a comic book universe. I'm reminded of Marvel's Captain Britain ommiverse: with different laws for different Earths enforced by different CB's.
So, in the GL universe, is there one over-riding morality, or would a satyr-populated world (with all that entails, based on Greek mythology and Eldon Dedini cartoons) have different morals to enforce?
I really am a nerd, aren't I.
also, couldn't his GL tunic turned into a loincloth or something? Jeez!
wow, thanks everyone! I think the general understanding is that they are called Satyrs, but are also called Fawns.
ReplyDeletehaha, and yes Arkon, a loin cloth would be beneficial!
I think this is one of my faves Rawls - great stuff!
ReplyDeleteit's Faun :)
